I’m here today to share a great smoothie recipe which has recently become a favorite of mine.

This is a vegan smoothie recipe and a great way to include turmeric in your diet as a super food.

Besides its amazing color, turmeric is known as an anti-inflammatory food and like our Healthy Grapefruit Smoothie as a strong antioxidant.

In addition to the turmeric, in the smoothie mixture I added some poppy seeds both to give it a nice crunchiness and to increase the nutrient content.

If you’re already a morning smoothie fan, you need to try this healthy one.

What Is Turmeric Golden Milk?

Turmeric golden milk, rigorously used in India for health issues, has been so trendy for some years. It is essentially a combination of turmeric or fresh turmeric, milk and black pepper.

Use your choice of milk, as much black pepper and as much turmeric as you like, your golden milk is ready. If you like, add other spices such as ginger or cinnamon too.

Don’t worry if you’re not a turmeric fan, thanks to milk, that’s not strong. Plus I use banana and maple syrup in this smoothie, so you don’t feel that much about the taste of the turmeric.

  1. In a blender, add all of the ingredients and pulse until smooth.
  2. Serve it in glasses immediately
